Meraas to expand food truck centres in Dubai

Meraas will feed Dubai’s appetite for more food truck centres in the hope that it will support the emirate’s tourism ambitions, as reported in The National. In the next six months, the parent of theme parks operator Dubai Parks and Resorts said it plans to open nine more Last Exit destinations that would feature between 20 and 40 food trucks at each location, open throughout the day all week, aimed at commuters, families and tourists.

Jonathan Beall, a businessman from Texas, USA, recorded the violations while driving on the Dubai-Al Ain road in a rented Mercedes Benz on his first visit to Dubai. Twenty-two of the violations were registered in just 46 minutes with speed cameras flashing almost every two minutes. Beall was driving at speeds ranging from 130 to 150km/h, with the maximum speed limit on the stretch being 120km/h, according to Gulf News.
