WAM -- Neeraj Agrawal, Executive-Director of Crescent Enterprises and Group CFO, said on Tuesday that the UAE is one of the major destinations of foreign direct investment in the continent of Asia, reflecting the ability of its economy to keep pace with international and regional developments.
In his speech, during a discussion session titled "The Role of Foreign Direct Investment in Preparing Basic Infrastructure", as part of the activities of the Annual Investment Meeting, AIM, currently taking place in Dubai, Agrawal said that the UAE succeeded, over the past two decades, in creating ties and important international import links, due to its timely investments in technology and logistic services infrastructure and its accomplishments in strategic planning and policy adjustments.
He expects public and private sector partnerships, which Dubai has legislated, to contribute towards strengthening foreign direct investment in all parts of the emirate.
Agrawal added that the AIM provides an effective platform for leaders of developing markets, the international investment community and experts to exchange expertise and demonstrate new investment opportunities. It also strengthens the UAE’s vital role as an international destination for direct foreign investment.
Crescent Enterprises, located in Sharjah, is one of the pioneering multi-national companies in the UAE, and it has succeeded in developing a diverse international sector of sustainable and profitable companies with capabilities to expand, with 20 companies that work in five different continents.
