From viral street food to live entertainment and unique shopping finds, here’s what to explore as Dubai’s popular destination makes its return.
After more than a month-long closure, Global Village has reopened its doors, welcoming visitors back from April 20.
Tickets start from Dh25 per person. While the season was initially set to conclude on May 10, it remains unclear whether the dates will be extended.
In the meantime, here are five experiences to start with:
Viral street food taking over social media
Food remains one of the biggest draws at Global Village, with several trending favourites returning this season.
At Taco Loco, visitors can try authentic Mexican birria tacos, slow-cooked and rich in flavour. Tantuni serves Turkish street food staples, including wraps filled with tender chicken or beef. Meanwhile, KOKO Korean Chicken offers crispy fried chicken in a variety of forms — from burgers to popcorn bites — coated in signature Korean sauces.
Across Fiesta Street, snack kiosks and trending stalls showcase eye-catching creations, including dishes like blue pasta, designed to appeal both visually and in taste.
Dessert District for sweet cravings
No visit is complete without a stop at the Dessert District, where global treats come together in one vibrant space.
Chimney Cake serves the popular Central European spiral pastry, freshly baked and golden. Mango Tango is another highlight, offering everything from mango ice cream to mango sticky rice — with the Mango Tango Float a must-try.
From warm pastries to fruit-based desserts and modern twists on classics, there’s something for every sweet tooth.
Kids’ Theatre for family entertainment
Families can head to the Kids’ Theatre, where live performances and interactive shows keep younger visitors engaged throughout the evening.
Japan and Korea pavilions for pop culture finds
For those in the mood to shop, the Japan and Korea pavilions feature trending items ranging from K-pop merchandise and collectibles to skincare and beauty products.
These spaces reflect current pop culture trends, making them especially popular among younger visitors and fans of Asian entertainment.
Firefly show after dark
As night falls, the Firefly show transforms the park with a striking display of light and movement.
Featuring glowing patterns, synchronised choreography and fluid motion, the performance creates an immersive experience for all ages. With its vibrant colours and illuminated trails, it stands out as one of the key evening attractions.
Visitors can also purchase a Global Village Passport at ticket counters for Dh10, adding an interactive element to their visit.
With food, shopping and entertainment all in one place, Global Village is set to draw crowds once again following its reopening.
