No change in road speed limits in Abu Dhabi
Gulf News -- There will be no change in speed limits on Abu Dhabi roads, police said on Tuesday.
The clarification came after rumours were circulated on social media about a possible change in speed limits on Abu Dhabi-Dubai highways — social media users posted pictures of road signs wrapped.
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of the Abu Dhabi Police confirmed that there is no change in the speed on Abu Dhabi roads at present.
“If there is a change in the speed limits, the police will announce its details in advance through its official channels,” the police said.
Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to obtain information from the official sources and asked them to adhere to the speed limits prescribed for each road in the emirate.
