Dubai is gearing up for another summer packed with shopping, live entertainment and family-friendly experiences as Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2026 returns for its 29th edition from 2 July to 30 August.
Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year's festival will bring more than 60 days of citywide promotions, concerts, dining experiences, hotel offers and attractions under the theme "Make it a Dubai Summer."
The retail programme features two major shopping campaigns: the Great Dubai Summer Sale, offering citywide discounts of up to 90%, and the Back-to-School shopping season, with special promotions on fashion, school essentials, electronics, and technology.
Announcing the full DSS 2026 programme, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said:
"Dubai Summer Surprises continues to play a vital role in strengthening Dubai's position as a leading global destination for tourism, retail, and family entertainment. Music lovers can also enjoy Samratna by Mohamed Al Bakri at the New Covent Garden Theatre, Mall of the Emirates, on 3 July, while the nostalgic Assem Sukkar Spacetoon Concert will take place at JAFZA One Convention Centre on 4 July, celebrating the iconic Spacetoon soundtracks that defined a generation across the Arab world.
Theatre enthusiasts can book tickets for Khairan Resort, a light-hearted Kuwaiti comedy running at Dubai Opera from 3 to 4 July.
New experiences join the festival line-up
Alongside returning favourites, DSS 2026 introduces several new initiatives. Among them is the debut of DSS Luxe Edition, a curated programme featuring luxury shopping experiences, exclusive brand activations and personalised services.
Families can also look forward to the new Back-to-School Carnival on 7 and 8 August, while the Performing Arts Fest will bring live theatre, dance performances, acrobatics and immersive entertainment to selected malls throughout the summer.
Bigger prizes than ever: Win Your Home in Dubai
This year's edition raises the stakes with a series of major raffles and giveaways.
A new campaign, Win Your Home in Dubai, will give shoppers the opportunity to win one of 12 residential units developed by Binghatti, including a grand prize of a two-bedroom apartment.

Visitors can also enter raffles to win a range of new vehicles, including Dongfeng, Exeed, Cadillac, MHERO and Jetour models. Jewellery shoppers spending AED 500 or more will have the chance to win a share of three kilograms of gold, while additional promotions across participating malls offer daily cash prizes and exclusive rewards.
Summer dining returns
Dubai's culinary calendar remains a major part of DSS.
Summer Restaurant Week returns from 13 July to 2 August, offering specially curated menus at some of the city's most popular restaurants.
Another festival favourite, 10 Dirham Dish, will run from 3 to 30 August, giving diners the opportunity to sample signature dishes at participating restaurants for just AED 10.
A packed entertainment programme
Live entertainment will once again take centre stage throughout the festival.
The popular Beat the Heat concert series returns to Dubai World Trade Centre with performances from artists including Cairokee, Dystinct, Issam Najjar, Rasha Rizk, Al Shami and Leen Hayek, with more acts expected to be announced.
Other highlights include performances by Rahma Riad, Nassif Zeytoun, Saif Al Ali and Arqam Al Abri, as well as the return of the atmospheric Candlelight Concerts at Madinat Jumeirah.
The festival will conclude on 29 August with The Miami Show, featuring Kuwait's legendary Miami Band at Coca-Cola Arena.
Modesh World welcomes families back
One of DSS's signature attractions, Modesh World, returns to Dubai World Trade Centre from 3 July to 23 August.
Designed for families and children, the indoor destination will feature rides, games, interactive workshops, live performances and appearances by the festival's beloved mascots, Modesh and Dana.
Staycations and family offers
Residents looking for a summer escape without leaving the city can also take advantage of hundreds of hotel and attraction offers throughout the festival.
Participating hotels will introduce exclusive staycation packages, family experiences and UAE resident deals, while attractions across Dubai will launch seasonal promotions designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore the city during the summer months.
More than a shopping festival
Now in its 29th year, Dubai Summer Surprises has grown into one of the city's largest lifestyle festivals, combining retail, hospitality, entertainment and community experiences.
With major retail campaigns, live performances, family attractions, exclusive dining offers and life-changing prizes, DSS 2026 promises another memorable summer season for both residents and visitors across Dubai.
