China backs UAE's commitment to regional peace and stability: Xi Jinping

WAM – Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed the significance of peace and stability in the Gulf region for the Middle East as well as for the whole world, saying the region should be an "oasis of security" rather than a new "source of turmoil."

UAE to send palm tree seeds into space

The palm is one of the UAE’s most prized trees. Its fruit fed generations of people for thousands of years, while its trunk and leaves were used to build homes.

Now the palm is blasting off on a new chapter as the UAE is to send its seeds into orbit on the International Space Station.

Emaar executes AED40.5 billion project in Beijing

WAM -- Dubai-based global developer Emaar will jointly implement with Beijing Daxing International Airport an AED40.5 billion (US$11 billion) project including the five square kilometre land area of the 50 sq. km airport.

Technical fault forces Emirates airline's Toronto-Dubai flight to turn back

Airbus A380-800 returned shortly after take-off, and had passed the city of Montreal before it had to fly back to Toronto.

An Emirates flight from Toronto to Dubai was forced to turn back on Saturday following a technical fault.

Woman to pay Dh3,000 fine for copying messages from husband's phone in UAE

A woman has been ordered to pay a fine of Dh3,000 for transferring and copying text messages from her husband's mobile phone without his consent as she suspected him of having an "illicit affair". The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanour Court also asked her to pay Dh100 advocacy fees and other charges.

The court sent a copy of the case file to the public prosecution to interrogate the husband and the woman he was chatting with on social media.
