Incumbent Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received 70.76 percent of the vote (6,504,024 votes) in Kazakhstan’s June 9 presidential election, said Central Election Commission (CEC) Deputy Chairman Konstantin Petrov at a June 10 CEC briefing on preliminary election results.

Air France-KLM has collaborated with a Dutch university to fund research into a new aircraft design that could make long-haul air travel much more sustainable.

Seventeen people died and three others were severely hurt in a bus crash in Dubai on Thursday.

The Oman-registered bus — a Mwasalat vehicle transporting people between Dubai and Muscat — was travelling along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, carrying 31 passengers, when it crashed into a signboard at Al Rashidiya exit at 5.40pm.
