Cost of Special and Super rises by a fil per litre, but diesel continues to decrease

Filling up your car at the petrol pumps in August will cost slightly more than it did in July.

ENOC today released the fuel prices, inclusive of VAT, for next month.

The price of Super 98 and Special 95 is up by a fil per litre, while the price of diesel will decreases by 3 fils.

The St Regis Dubai, in Habtoor City on Sheikh Zayed Road, has been renamed Habtoor Palace.

Pictures circulating on social media show the new signage on the former St Regis, and also highlight the absence of the large 'W' sign on what used to be the W Dubai Habtoor City.

More than 1,000 road accidents have been recorded in Dubai since the start of the week as the UAE has been engulfed in a heavy dust storm.

Dubai police’s control room received around 16,000 emergency calls, with poor visibility leading to dangerous driving conditions.

On Sunday, there were 631 accidents, including 12 major crashes, and a further 413 on Monday, largely during the early morning hours.

Turkmenistan Airlines has resumed biweekly flights to Abu Dhabi, it was announced on Sunday.

The direct flights between Ashgabat International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport, which began last month, will operate every Friday and Sunday.

Turkmenistan Airlines will operate the route using its Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a business and economy configuration.
