NASA names astronauts for first manned US space launches since 2011 (Video)

Schon property and funds seized over failure to deliver Dubai Lagoon development

Dubai received 8.1 million tourists in the first half of this year, a flat year-on-year growth, but the number of visitors from China and Russia in particular rose sharply, thanks to relaxation in visa requirements for the nationals of the two countries.

Serena Williams suffered the most emphatic loss of her career as she lost 12 games in a row to be beaten 6-1, 6-0 by Johanna Konta at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic on Tuesday.

Abu Dhabi demolishes 220 health hazard buildings

Hundreds of health hazard buildings have been demolished in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Municipality has already pulled down 220 eyesore sites as part of a major safety crackdown.

The abandoned buildings have been deemed a danger to neighbourhood safety and security, and a breeding grounds for insects and roads.
