The National -- Butane abuse is reaching worrying levels among teenagers in the UAE, addiction experts said just days after two boys were severely burned when the compressed gas they were inhaling caught fire.

Police said the boys, aged 14 and 16, were inhaling the gas while sitting in a parked car in Sharjah with the windows closed when the compressed gas caught fire and caused an explosion.

The National -- The long-awaited new SUV from Rolls-Royce will be called the Cullinan, the British brand has announced.

The super-luxury vehicle, which will be the first SUV by the grand old carmaker, is not being officially labelled an SUV: the company is, instead, referring to is as "high-sided vehicle".

The National -- Five people including two children died when they were asphyxiated in a fire that gutted part of their apartment building early on Monday morning.

Sharjah Civil Defence director Colonel Sami Al Naqbi said that the victims perished while trying to escape.
