World’s largest annual airport event concludes with over 7,200 attendees

The 17th edition of the Airport Show concluded with resounding success with more than 7,200 attendees from aviation industry worldwide. Reflecting a strong confidence in Middle East’s aviation sector and the Airport Show, more than 50 per cent of the exhibitors confirmed their participation for the next year.

Dubai’s perfumes and cosmetics trade stood at AED21 billion in 2016

WAM -- Dubai perfumes and cosmetics trade stood at AED5 billion in the first quarter of 2017, according to Dubai Customs.

The trade included AED3 billion of imports and AED2 billion in exports and re-exports. Similarly, in 2016, Dubai external trade in perfumes and cosmetics reached around AED21 billion.

Scientific dating sheds new light on date of Fujairah's Bidiya Mosque

WAM -- New information on the possible date of one of the UAE's best-known historical buildings, the domed mosque at Bidiyah, Fujairah, has become available thanks to scientific dating performed on blocks of coral used in its construction.
