Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Porier to clash in UAE

The countdown has begun for one of the biggest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events ever to hit the UAE with organisers announcing new details for the much-anticipated Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Dustin Porier UFC 242 lightweight title fight in Abu Dhabi.

A dedicated website, visitabudhabi.ae, has been set-up by the DTC to assist fans seeking to register for early access to tickets for the September 7 blockbuster which also features a mouth-watering under-card.

Dubai bus crash: death toll rises to 17

Seventeen people died and three others were severely hurt in a bus crash in Dubai on Thursday.

The Oman-registered bus — a Mwasalat vehicle transporting people between Dubai and Muscat — was travelling along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, carrying 31 passengers, when it crashed into a signboard at Al Rashidiya exit at 5.40pm. It is unclear what caused the driver to crash into the traffic sign, which displayed the maximum height of vehicles allowed to pass beneath it.

'Hidden' speed cameras spark Dubai controversy

Speed cameras installed at locations across Dubai are causing a stir among motorists.

The low, rhombus-like structures which are grey in colour, can prove difficult to spot when set in more urban surroundings.
