Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa on February 26 presented a cheque donation of AED 50,633 to Al Jalila Foundation to help fund its medical research.

Bvlgari to restore Rome's Largo Argentina site

High-end brand Bvlgari is slated to give Roman archaeological site Largo di Argentina a makeover. The line – which has produced jewellery and luxury goods since the late 20th-century – will fork over a reported €800,000 to restore the ancient ruins. Officials estimate that the project will take roughly 10 months, with a potential inauguration date set for January 2020.

The Debt Settlement Fund has announced that Dh361 million worth of loans of 3,310 Emiratis have been waived off in cooperation with 13 banks.

Saudi Arabia names Princess Reema bint Bandar as its first female ambassador

Saudi Arabia has appointed Princess Reema bint Bandar as its diplomatic representative to the US – the first female ambassador in the history of the kingdom.

In a series of royal decrees issued by Saudi Arabia late on Saturday, Riyadh named its current envoy to Washington, Prince Khalid bin Salman, as deputy minister of defence with the ranking of minister. Another decision allocated a bonus of a month's salary to soldiers fighting to the south at the Saudi border with Yemen.
