HH Sheikh Mohammed inaugurates the second phase of Dubai Water Canal

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has inaugurated the second phase of the Dubai Water Canal, a 12 kilometre waterway that connects Dubai Creek with the Arabian Gulf. The Dubai Water Canal project has been built at a cost of AED 3.7 billion.

Armenia, UAE Keen on Developing Economic Ties

On a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian had a meeting with Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Dubai tourists spend twice as much as those visiting other major cities

Tourists in Dubai spend almost twice as much money while visiting the emirate as those holidaying on other major cities such as London or New York, according to the results of a new study. “The research shows the highest spending visitors, by far, are Dubai’s, who spend nearly twice the average of our 12 cities,” said David Godchaux, CEO of Core Savills, the Dubai subsidiary of international real estate agency Savills.

Emirates Airline customers flying to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now apply for a visa using their mobile devices. WAM -- Yuan Shengrui, Senior Executive Officer of the DIFC branch of China Construction Bank, CCB, today rang the market-opening bell to celebrate the listing of a US$600 million Bond on Nasdaq Dubai, under the bank’s $6 billion medium term note programme.

The Metropolitan Hotel Dubai is set to open its doors to in the fourth quarter of 2016 courtesy of Al Habtoor Group.
