WAM--Artists shortlisted for the AED 2.3 million Dubai Canvas 3D Art Award will create and display their stunning 3D artworks at the Dubai Canvas 3D Art Festival to be held in City Walk from 1 to 7 March 2017.

TCA Abu Dhabi welcomes five new countries to UNESCO's falconry file

WAM -- After five years of falconry inscription, as a living human heritage, on the UNESCO's representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) welcomed the registration of five more countries to the file, bringing the total members to 18 countries, and making it the largest inscription with UNESCO. Dubai grew 2.7% in 2016, 3.1% growth expected in 2017: HH Sheikh Ahmed

WAM -- His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation, Chief Executive of the Emirates Group and Chairman of the Economic Development Committee in Dubai, said the economy of Dubai grew by 2.7% in real terms in 2016, despite declining oil prices, sluggish growth in developed as well as many emerging economies, and a mere 1.7% growth in global trade, its lowest since 2008-2009. The emirate is expected to grow by 3.1% in 2017, His Highness added.

HH Mansour bin Zayed says UAE keen to strengthen bilateral ties with Kazakhstan

Emirates brings daily A380 flight to Sao Paulo in 10th year of operations in Brazil

Emirates, voted the World’s Best Airline in the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards, announced today that it will operate the first ever scheduled commercial Airbus A380 flight to South America when it upgrades its Dubai (DXB) – Sao Paulo (GRU) service on March 26, 2017.
