Legendary Parisian luxury brand Cartier launches new Tank Anglaise watch

Legendary Parisian luxury brand Cartier hosted its dazzling Never Stop Tank evening recently at the Pavilion Downtown Dubai. A Cocktail party and a special exhibition commemorated the “Never Stop Tank Legend” celebrating the launch of its new Tank Anglaise watch. Artists, designers and influential guests attended the event including Middle Eastern celebrities such as the well known Lebanese singer and philanthropist Ragheb Alama who wore the Cartier TANK Anglaise Gold & Style Large Model watch and Egyptian singer and TV personality Sherine Abdel Wahab who wore the Cartier High Jewellery Evening Bag & Cartier Ballon Bleu gold watch.

Cartier’s Tank Anglaise watch is a logical progression of its famous Tank watch created by Louis Cartier in 1917, which was inspired by the revolutionary Renault tanks used in the First World War. It flaunts a generous volume and includes characteristic Tank features such as the strap seamlessly incorporated into the case, Roman numerals, blued-steel sword-shaped hands and a streamlined crown. It is available in three ladies and men’s sizes in three colours of gold. The large models are powered by the Manufacture MC 1904 movement, visible through the open back.

HH Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan recently inaugurated Van Cleef & Arpels’ new boutique in Abu Dhabi. The prestigious occasion took place in the presence of Mr. Alban Belloir, Managing Director Middle East and India of Van Cleef & Arpels and Mr. Abdul Hamied Seddiqi, Vice Chairman of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.

Located at Avenue at Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi’s striking new landmark, the sumptuous 1,624 sq ft boutique is the second in the UAEs’ capital, the first of which is located in Marina Mall. It features three zones; the first showcases an extensive selection of enchanting jewelry reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship perfected by the master jewelers of the Maison:  the “Mains d’Or ™” comprising beautiful jewelry from Oiseaux de Paradis, Socrate, Lotus, Charleston, Palmyre, Snowflake and Flowerlace. The second zone hosts the timepieces, a craft finely mastered by Van Cleef & Arpels which developed distinguished movements and unique complications as executed in the Poetic Wish and Poetic Complications™.  The third zone is dedicated to welcome Van Cleef & Arpels special clientele in a VIP room that resembles the intimacy and warmth of a Parisian apartment. It houses unique High Jewelry pieces that reflect the great heritage, savoir-faire and prominent inspirations of the Maison.
