Salt Bae serves Maradona in Dubai – and nearly brings him to tears (Video)
Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, seems to have had quite the effect on international football legend, Diego Maradona.
The Turkish chef posted a video on his Instagram that shows him serving Maradona ribs at his Dubai restaurant, and pulling the bones out of the ribs. Maradona is then given the chance to sprinkle some coarse sea-salt onto his dish - in the style made famous by Gökçe in the #SaltBae memes.
Maradona seems overcome with emotion at the sight the chef's butchery skills, and even appears to have tears in his eyes, before remarking in Spanish at how 'limpia' or 'clean' the process is. A second video shows Fujairah Football Club Manager Maradona hugging Gökçe while other guests in the restaurant cheer them on. Maradona ends by giving Gökçe a kiss on his cheek.
Gökçe has four Nusr-et Steakhouses in Turkey, one in Dubai in the restaurant village at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and his most recently opened location in The Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.
