A young motorist was caught driving at a speed of 264 kilometres per hour on a Ras Al Khaimah road, police have revealed.
Police said the driver was one of six people caught travelling at a speed faster than 200kph last year.
Col Ahmad Al Naqbi, director of the traffic and patrols department at RAK police, said the emirate’s latest traffic report showed that 85 per cent of the deadly accidents on RAK roads were caused by speeding.
