Dubai Metro and tram times to change

The National -- If you're an early morning public transport user, you're in luck: the Dubai Metro and tram will now start their daily service earlier.

The Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) Rail Agency has announced tram and metro changes to take effect on November 1, which will coincide with Public Transport Day.

The metro's Red Line will now start at 5.00am instead of 5.30am, while the Green Line will be in operation from 5.30am instead of 5.50am. The Dubai Tram will start... Read More

Water taxi services between Louvre Abu Dhabi and other major attractions launched

The National -- Soon you will be able to take a water taxi between Louvre Abu Dhabi and some of the city's top attractions.

Abu Dhabi Ports and ferry company Jalboot Marine on Tuesday signed a deal to begin trips to the museum that is opening on November 11.

Residents will be able to get on at one of the existing stops such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Yas Island and Etihad Towers, while a special jetty is being built for cruise ship passengers at the terminal in Mina Zayed.... Read More

Al Maktoum Bridge in Dubai to be closed for maintenance

Al Maktoum Bridge will be closed for 8 hours every Friday for a month starting next week while the Roads and Transport Authority carries out maintenance work.

The bridge will be closed to road and marine traffic between the hours of 1am and 9am from October 27 to November 24.

Marine traffic will also be limited to Sunday and Thursdays between 1am and 5am.

The National -- Seabourn Encore arrived in Mina Zayed at 8am on Monday. On the quay, passengers were met by women and men in traditional Emirati dress serving Arabic coffee and dates. Khaleej Times -- Ras Al Khaimah is well on its way to achieving its 900,000 visitor target for 2017, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has said.
