The National -- Football enthusiasts from across the world can register to volunteer for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 in December.
The local organising committee requires more than 1,000 volunteers for the club football tournament that will take place in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from December 6 to 16.

UAE ready to train its first astronauts as early as next year

The National -- The UAE has approved a manned spaceflight programme and could begin training the first Emirati astronauts as early as next year, according to a senior government official.
Salem Humaid Al Marri, Assistant Director General at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, said that putting a UAE astronaut in orbit was part of a “sustainable” human spaceflight programme with a serious purpose, rather than simply for prestige.

More than 1,000 artificial caves to be installed in the UAE

The National -- Fish in the Northern Emirates will have a new place to call home by the end of the year. The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is building more than 1,000 artificial caves to give fish and other marine species safe breeding habitats.

Khaleej Times -- The young Emirati woman - who bravely saved an Asian driver from a fire by putting out the flames with an abaya - has been identified as Jawaher Saif Al Kumaiti. The blaze broke out after a collision between two trucks.
