Dubai gets seven new bus routes

Khaleej Times -- The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched seven new bus routes, including two metro link routes. The authority has also improved 24 other routes.

Metro link bus routes F19A and F19B will serve the Business Bay district and pass through several hotspots in the area. The service will be running at a 10-minute interval every day except Fridays.

Khaleej Times -- Dubai Police rescued as many as 79 children trapped in locked vehicles since the beginning of this year. The cops have called on parents not to leave their kids in cars alone or unattended since it can turn fatal as there's lack of oxygen inside a closed area.

Zawya -- The United Arab Emirates' (UAE) civil aviation regulator is investigating why an Emirates Airbus A380 superjumbo flew dangerously low when approaching Moscow's Domodedovo Airport last week.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said its air accident investigation unit is treating the Sept. 10 episode as a "serious incident", an internationally recognized category which means an accident "nearly occurred".

The National -- Parking will be free across Dubai except in multilevel parking zones on Thursday to mark Al Hijri New Year.

Fees will be restored on Saturday, September 23, according to the Roads and Transport Authority.

The RTA also released adjusted operating hours for all public transport for the duration of the holiday.
