Saudi Arabia agrees to buy Russian S-400 missile system

Russia and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement on the purchase of Russia’s S-400 missile system, a defense cooperation official said Monday.

Maria Vorobyeva, spokeswoman for the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, told the RIA Novosti news agency that a deal on the air defense system had been agreed with Riyadh.

Gulf News -- From October 15, a new speed limit will be observed on Dubai’s two main highways, requiring motorists to slow down a notch – or face stiff traffic fines.

The Emirati was born a day short of 23 weeks, weighing 440 grams, or about as much as a courgette.

Gulf News -- Sharjah Police have warned residents against using someone else’s pen when signing cheques as they have registered cases of the ink getting erased and fraudsters presenting the cheques to banks after entering new amounts.

Gulf News -- Two Saudi soldiers were killed in Jeddah after an attack on an external guard post of the Royal Guard, located in front of the western gate of the Peace Palace on Saturday.
