Rear window flies off car on Abu Dhabi motorway

The rear window of a car flew off the vehicle and shattered on a busy highway in the capital, police said on Monday.

The incident was caught on camera and indicated that the motorist had been driving at 187kph when it happened.

Lt Col Abdullah Al Suwaidi, from the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said the footage from the speed camera helped patrols quickly catch the offender.

Gulf News -- Dubai’s much-awaited Dh1-billion wildlife project, Dubai Safari, will be ready ahead of the 46th National Day of the UAE, a top official confirmed to Gulf News on Monday. 

The project had missed its previous opening date.
