Study says UAE's contributions to solar energy helped cut costs across the globe

WAM - A Japanese study has said the UAE s support for renewable energy contributed to make solar energy cheap and it is now becoming cheaper to produce, with bid prices for solar and wind power projects in Europe and the Middle East dropping to levels comparable to coal-fired thermal power.

WAM -- Passenger traffic at Dubai World Central, DWC, Dubai’s second international hub, witnessed a strong surge in 2016, climbing 84.5 percent according to the traffic report issued by operator, Dubai Airports, today.

Expo 2020 Dubai will award 47 construction contracts worth AED 11 billion (3.0 billion USD) in 2017 as preparations for the first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia continue to gather pace.

Citizens of the Russian Federation to get ‘visa on arrival’ in the UAE

WAM -- Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved Cabinet Decree Number 24 for 2017 on granting citizens of the Russian Federation an entry visa at all entry points to the United Arab Emirates.
