Citywide Wi-Fi across major cities in the Middle East, especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi, could soon become a reality. Wi-Fi UAE, launched by Smart Dubai and telco operator du, is currently available across 300 places, including public transport network. The Metropolitan Hotel Dubai is set to open its doors in the fourth quarter of 2016 courtesy of Al Habtoor Group. The original Metropolitan Hotel, which was built in 1979, was demolished in May 2013 to make way for Al Habtoor City, a landmark development incorporating three five-star hotels, three luxury residential towers along the upcoming Dubai Water Canal.

WAM: Air Arabia has announced the expansion of its international route network with a new service to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, following a joint cooperation between Air Arabia, Azerbaijan Airlines and local authorities.

RTA to add 276 new trips during peak hours of Dubai Metro on both Red and Green Lines

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will increase the number of Metro trips on the Red & Green lines in reply to the growing demand for the services from the public from different social segments in Dubai, especially the metro riders in early morning, during various peak hours. In total, 276 new trips are added on weekly basis, 154 on Red Line and 122 on Green Line. The Winter Timetable will be operational as of today (Sunday) 23rd October, 2016.
