Wednesday, July 11, 2018 — Dubai-based carrier flydubai has announced today that flights to 10 of its destinations will move from its current operating base of Terminal 2 and relocate to Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB). A number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the UAE and Russia were signed, including the mutual exemption of visa requirements for citizens of the UAE and Russia in a bid to encourage bilateral tourism, investment and trade.

The agreement was signed by Maadhad Hareb Mughair Al Khaili, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and Alexander Efimov, Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the UAE.

Emiratis to serve longer in military as National Service is extended

Compulsory military service has been extended to 16 months for young men holding a secondary high school certificate and above, the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces has said.

It was previously set at 12 months.

Compulsory national service for all young Emirati men aged between 18 and 30 was introduced in 2014. Women of the same age group can volunteer, as can men aged between 30 and 40.
