The Emirates Aircraft Appearance Centre, the world’s largest aircraft painting facility owned by an airline, has completely stripped and repainted 33 aircraft last year, or 13% of its fleet.

During the year, Emirates gave a fresh coat of paint to three Airbus A380s and 22 Boeing 777s, in addition to eight aircraft that were retired as a part of the airline’s strategy to operate a young, modern, and efficient aircraft fleet.

e-registration now compulsory for all passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport

WAM --- Abu Dhabi Airports Company today said that registration of passports for electronic use to improve passenger flow at Abu Dhabi International Airport is now compulsory.

Smart Travel was launched in March to reduce by up to 70 per cent the time it takes for a passenger to clear the airport’s security checks.

Travellers with registered passports will be able to use bag drops and proceed through automated airport e-gates, Abu Dhabi Airports said in a press release.
