Ministry of Economy predicts rise in UAE exports of over AED1.3 trillion, end of 2016

WAM - The Ministry of Economy is predicting a rise in the country's exports of goods and services at the end of this year to over AED1.3 trillion, compared with over AED1.25 trillion in 2015, an increase of 5%.
This information came in a report issued by the ministry on the development of foreign trade for the second quarter, ending June 2016, under the title, "Analytical Report on the Monitoring and Follow-up and Analysis of Foreign Trade Developments - Second Quarter 2016".

Emirates expects a busy travel weekend starting 8 Sept. 2016 onwards

During the upcoming weekend starting from Thursday 08 September, leading airlines Emirates announced it expects high passenger traffic on its flights as travellers take advantage of the long Eid Al Adha weekend. Over 160,000 travellers will be passing through Emirates Terminal 3 this upcoming weekend (Thursday – Saturday), with consistently high passenger loads from Dubai also expected on 11 and 12 September.

WAM – Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Tuesday toured the 15th Cityscape Global real estate exhibition which began today at Dubai World Trade Centre and will conclude on 8th September.

The Private Sector will get three days holidays for Eid Al Adha from Sept. 11 to 13, 2016 it was announced on Sunday Sept. 4 2016 in a circular issued by Saqr Gobash, Minister of Emiratisation and Human Resources.

Chinese visitors to the UAE to get visas on arrival

Chinese visitors to the UAE will now be granted visas on arrival, the UAE Cabinet announced on Sunday, 5 Sept. 2016
HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai said, “We have approved a decision to grant visas on arrival at the country’s airports to visitors from the People’s Republic of China.”
