No-deficit budget for 2015 will have an operating surplus of Dh3.6b

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the largest budget for Dubai since the global financial crisis at Dh41 billion, up 9 per cent from 2014.

UAE development assistance amounts to 5.4b in 2013, 1.34 per cent of Gross National Income

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has been named the world’s largest donor of official development assistance in 2013, offering $5.4 billion (Dh19.84 billion), representing 1.34 per cent of its Gross National Income, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

China was Dubai’s top non-oil foreign trade partner, followed by India and the US, figures revealed.

Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade amounted to Dhs988 billion during the first nine months of 2014, figures released by Dubai Customs showed.

Out of the overall trade, imports had the biggest share with a value of Dhs621 billion while exports and re-exports to the emirate reached Dhs86 billion and Dhs280 billion respectively.
